About the role

As a Java Developer at Megasol, you will join our development team responsible for building and evolving our core banking platform.

You will work in a product-driven and customer focused environment where development starts with real business needs and ends with production-ready solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of features throughout the entire development lifecycle, from refinement and design, through implementation, code reviews, testing support and release. While dedicated test engineers support validation, you are expected to ensure that what you build is robust, well-structured and maintainable from start.

The work is a mix of independent problem solving and collaborative development where you will engage with other developers to solve complex problems or design larger system changes but also work independently on well defined tasks.

Because the system is large and highly interconnected, changes often have dependencies across multiple components. This makes careful design, attention to detail and strong communication essential. You will not only be responsible for writing code, but also for understanding how your changes affect the wider system and ensuring smooth integration into production.

What you will do

• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Design system functionality architecture with the team

• Write high-quality, maintainable code

• Perform code reviews and ensure quality across the team

• Work both independently and in pair programming setups

• Take responsibility for delivering production ready solutions

Who you are

We believe you are:

• Highly detailed oriented and committed to delivering high quality work

• Motivated by building robust solutions that solve real customers needs

• A team player who values collaboration and shared responsibility

• 2 years of professional experience in Java

• Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent

It's a bonus if you have:

• Experience from financial or administrative systems

• Spring Framework experience

• SQL knowledge

• Experience of front-end solutions using Kotlin and Angular

• Interest in distributed systems and messaging (e.g NATS)

For this position you need to be fluent in Swedish, written and spoken.
